The Shimano Tourney RD-TY200 rear derailleur represents the evolution of entry-level shifting for 6 and 7-speed drivetrains, combining Japanese brand reliability with competitive pricing. The RD-TY200 structure uses an optimized parallelogram design with 2mm thick tempered steel side plates to withstand impacts and torsion. The 11-tooth pulleys with self-lubricating brass bushings ensure smooth rotation for over 10,000 km without maintenance.
Capacity and extended compatibility:
The long cage allows use with 14-28 tooth cassettes while maintaining optimal chain tension. Total capacity 43 teeth: handles differences up to 20 teeth between largest and smallest chainring, 28 teeth maximum on largest sprocket. Compatible with narrow 6/7/8 speed chains 1/2"x3/32" pitch.
